NEW CLASSES in the Show Jumping Ring
Class 43 – 12” Cross Rails (coaching allowed)
Class 44 – 18” Show Jumping (coaching allowed)
In addition to our regular 12” Cross Rails (#23) and 18” Show Jumping (#24) classes, we are offering new classes at these heights with coaching allowed. These new classes will be scheduled before all other classes at that height and can be used as a warm-up ride.
Our goal is to help riders gain confidence, and we realize that sometimes a “practice round” with coaching can be a big help. Coaching from the side and, if needed, in the ring will be allowed. We will still give “clear round” ribbons to all who complete the course without a penalty.
For the regular classes, coaching will NOT be allowed, and any coaching may result in a disqualification. Our goal here is to encourage independence and a thoughtful ride. We will continue to give “clear round” ribbons to all who complete the course without a penalty. We will also award First and Second place in each class to the rider WHO RODE IT BEST. It’s not just about getting around the course the fastest, but riding an appropriate pace with good lines and balanced turns.
We hope these updates are a welcome addition and make it easier to develop into a confident and capable show jumper!
